Headstrung are a Liverpool based puppet company, specialising in puppet cabaret acts and interactive street theatre. Co-founded in 2012 by Eilidh Bryan, Beccy Hillam and Katy-Anne Bellis, Headstrung focus on challenging the role of the puppeteer as well as providing a cheeky sense of humour. They have toured their work throughout the UK, performing at outdoor events, arts and puppetry festivals and late night cabarets.

Eilidh Bryan: Puppet Maker, Director and Performer
Outside of her work for Headstrung, Eilidh specialises in creating large-scale puppets, lanterns and processional images for companies including Walk the Plank and Lantern Company, with whom she has worked for the last 15 years. She has also worked nationally and internationally, as a workshop leader; delivering workshops in puppets, lanterns and parade imagery.
Beccy Hillam: Technical/Production Manager and Performer
Beccy has been working in the theatre industry for over ten years in a number of roles. She primarily works as a technician and lighting designer but also dabbles in set construction, production management and small-scale touring. She has worked as a touring technician for Tmesis Theatre, Travelled Companions, Liverpool Everyman and Playhouse and Spike Theatre. Lighting designs include That’s Amore and Happy Hour for Tmesis Theatre.
As well as being responsible for most of the Headstrung set construction, she has created set pieces for No Place Productions, The Egg People, and The Reader Org.
